Job description

An NYSE-listed company developing a one-stop solution to help businesses store their data and leverage it with analytical engines and machine learning is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The selected candidate will be tasked with developing ideas and building efficient, intuitive resources for different applications. The Silicon Valley-based company is on a mission to make a big impact in the data platform industry with their range of advanced technologies. The company has managed to raise close to $1 bn in funding so far. This position requires some overlap with the CST time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, code, and implement back-end services and script-based technologies
  • Work iteratively in an agile development environment 
  • Collaborate with platform, UI, and quality engineers to implement scalable features 
  • Debug issues at the customer deployments, root cause analysis, and resolve failures

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer 
  • Extensive experience in Java and Kubernetes
  • Nice to have experience in Spring (Java) and Golang 
  • Experience in Terraform, Postgres, and DynamoDB is preferred
  • Prior experience in Shell Scripting
  • Experience in Helm and containerization 
  • Demonstrable experience working with AWS cloud platform
  • Experience in microservices development and technologies (gRPC, Thrift, etc.)
  • Nice to have experience in Java Spring
  • Experience in Cadence Workflow is preferred 
  • Experience in database technologies (Postgres and DynamoDB) is a plus
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
