Job description

A rapidly-growing company that is developing innovative solutions for workflow management and advanced execution, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The engineer will be tasked with leading the design and development of application components and applications on the platform. The company's cutting-edge cloud-based platform combines elements comprising risk management, distribution, pricing, and liquidity management. This is a nice opportunity for developers who are eager to learn and work with an eFX platform. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of a software component to support the company’s application development environment 
  • Design and develop application components and applications for integral products
  • Document and test procedures for software
  • Debug and release integral software to customers using agile methods
  • Develop software development and SaaS architecture standards and policies that promote shared services
  • Optimize reusability and improve information integration and system interoperability
  • Ensure and optimize availability and reduce latency built into every component developed in the software
  • Review and oversees projects to embed architectural standards and practices
  • Eliminate duplicate functionality and system capabilities
  • Identify and mitigate divergence from business and IT objectives, goals, and strategies
  • Perform complex analysis and design of software applications and architecture, including estimating, planning, scheduling and coordination of agile projects
  • Provide technical application support in an agile environment for all application modules

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • A minimum of 5+ years of development experience in Java, C++, or other similar languages
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and experience in designing distributed systems
  • Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms
  • Prolific understanding of object-oriented programming, such as memory management and low-level algorithm performance
  • Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Good working knowledge of AWS
  • Experience in building microservices is a plus
  • Ability to manage time and workload effectively, which includes planning, organizing, and prioritizing with attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication and presentation skills
