Job description

A U.S.-based company building world-class tech-enabled healthcare solutions that delivers a virtual care experience is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The engineer will be recreating the system to provide a higher level of abstraction by understanding the current one. The company is transforming the traditional healthcare experience with their modern products that tap into the power of modern technology. The company has managed to successfully raise $500 mn+ in funding so far. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Take charge of improving the end-user experience, not just implementing to spec
  • Continuously learn new tools and technologies
  • Build tools that can support audit and compliance requirements while giving billing operations a complete image of the system
  • Aid in converting the current functionality to new microservices
  • Closely collaborate with colleagues to create reusable shared UI components
  • Help advance and implement standard engineering best practices
  • Work with a distributed team and understand the need for high levels of communication and self-direction
  • Deliver quality work and exercise good judgment when making trade-offs

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Extensive experience working with functional programming like Scala and Kotlin
  • 4+ years of experience crafting robust and rich web and/or mobile applications that consume web API
  • 2+ years of experience working with React or React Native
  • Fluent in spoken and written English communication
