Job description

A NASDAQ-listed company building a world-class e-commerce platform that provides customers with a range of affordable products is looking for a Senior Back-End-Heavy Software Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for leveraging new and existing technologies to impact the business meaningfully. The company offers a discovery-based buying experience that is similar to how customers have traditionally made purchases in physical stores. The company has successfully managed to raise more than $1.4bn in funding so far. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build complex, durable software systems that integrate with external systems
  • Optimize for short-term execution process and plan for long-term technical fixations 
  • Build highly-available, robust distributed systems
  • Mentor and guide junior software engineers

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Extensive experience in Python and Go/Golang
  • Nice to have experience in AWS, Hadoop, and MongoDB
  • Experience in GraphQL is preferred 
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
