Job description

A fast-emerging company that is utilizing interactive kiosks, QR codes, and app clips to digitize the in-store experience is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for collaborating closely with the CTO to make architectural decisions about the scalability, performance, and security of the back-end layer components. Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)

  • Experience building APIs in Java and a track record of building scalable and clean back-end applications

  • Expertise in JVM optimization and other performance optimizations required for enterprise scale
  • Conversant with build pipelines in GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, and Gradle

  • Proficiency in MongoDB is preferred
  • Knowledge of performance optimizations and security constraints around J2EE
  • Experience implementing frameworks around Test-driven development for mission-critical applications
  • Prior startup experience or willingness to take on ownership and wear many hats in a startup
