Job description

A US-based company that equips businesses and individuals with the mindset and skillset to handle change and leadership effectively is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The selected candidate will be in charge of solving various product, technical and organizational challenges. The NYSE-listed company is providing customers with the mindset, skillset, and toolset they need to reach new levels of performance and achieve exceptional results together. This position requires at least 4 hours of overlap with the US time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with the team to deliver products, train junior members, and overcome their most pressing people-related problems
  • Collaborate with product, design, data, and content teams to build a modern learning platform and define the product features and functionality
  • Review regular quantitative and qualitative research about the company’s clients and learners and weigh in on the product strategy and roadmap
  • Ship product features regularly and iteratively, writing testable, scalable, and maintainable code
  • Work with the leadership to conduct code reviews for the team, helping to define best practices, and analyze architecture decisions
  • Work with the sales, marketing, implementation, and support teams to ensure users get the most value from the products

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5-10+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer 
  • Extensive experience in Node.js, Python (Django), and/or Ruby on Rails
  • Prolific experience with React is preferred but not required
  • Demonstrable experience shipping high-quality, scalable products 
  • Drive to continuously improve and share knowledge with your teammates
  • Prior experience guiding junior engineers with code reviews, best practice sharing, and architecture decisions
  • Working experience with performance, security, privacy, accessibility, and globalization is preferred but not required
  • Hands-on experience architecting systems of moderate complexity is a plus
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
