Job description

The developer will be in charge of writing clean, maintainable, scalable code that is easy to read, understand, and maintain. Job Responsibilities:

On cloud providers like AWS, create web apps using the MERN stack and microservices architecture
Take ownership of customer-facing UI and back-end services design and development
Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle
Build high-performance applications by developing testable, reusable, and efficient code
Lead a small team, coach other engineers, and undertake code reviews for them

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
2+ years of experience building MERN web applications on the cloud
Strong proficiency with JavaScript, React, Node.js, and Express framework
Knowledge of the nature of asynchronous programming
Strong understanding of at least one server-side templating language like EJS/Twig
Solid understanding of server-side CSS preprocessors like LESS
Experience with front-end technologies like HTML5 and CSS3
Proficient with relational databases like PostgreSQL
Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
Good understanding of Algorithms, Data Structures, Design Patterns, Space and Time complexity of algorithms
Familiarity with SOLID, DRY, KISS, and YAGNI principles
Experience writing and implementing Unit Tests
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools like Git
Knowledge of NoSQL databases like Cassandra or Big Query is desirable
Prior experience with Cloud solutions using Lambda, Cassandra, DynamoDB, BigQuery, Redshift, Kafka or equivalent tools on AWS or similar cloud providers is desirable
Nice to have some understanding of Python-based data/analytics libraries like Pandas
Experience working with multi-tenant systems operating in multiple time zones, multiple languages with support for high availability and disaster recovery capabilities is nice to have
Excellent English communication skills
