Job description

A rapidly-growing company that is building products that work with open file formats on the businesses existing data lakes/object stores, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The developer will be ensuring that development is based on frictionless onboarding of customers. The company's technology interfaces with the existing governance framework and enforces existing governance rules. This is a nice opportunity for developers to experience working in a fast-paced environment.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Write clean, documented, and robust code
  • Build the product around the company's core algorithms 
  • Collaborate with our Performance Engineering and the DevOps teams
  • Identify tactical and long-term product improvements (could be code, script, etc.) 
  • Build the company's internal Data Platform
  • Add scalable functionality to the core engine for new features like UDF's, SQL functions, etc

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • 5+ years of experience working with Java
  • Extensive knowledge of SQL Query planning will also be good to have
  • A passion for continuous learning and growth, both at a personal and team level
  • Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills
  • Prior experience working in a startup will be nice to have
