Senior Software Engineer

A US-based cannabis operator determined to legitimize, professionalize and transform the cannabis industry is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The engineer will be tasked with developing and maintaining the platform’s API features, ETL pipes, and supporting logic. The multi-state company runs its operations with a mission to promote the medical cannabis industry's rapid and positive evolution. They have managed to raise funding worth more than $500mn so far. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop scalable and maintainable code to solve complex business processes
• Search for new and innovative ways to solve complex problems through rigorous experimentation
• Write high-quality unit and integration tests
• Perform expert-level git branching, merging, rebasing, and refactoring of existing code-bases
• Take ownership and find ways to do things better, faster, smarter, and more cost-effective

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
• Demonstrable experience working with Node.js, PostgreSQL, REST API design, and ETL
• Prior experience working with a major cloud provider like AWS or Google Cloud
• Exposure to Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment and Test-Driven Development is desirable
• Nice to have some knowledge of Python and Java
• Ability to switch gears frequently to solve both short-term and long-term problems
• Possession of a positive and collaborative outlook on problem-solving as complex and unforeseen challenges arise
