Job description

A fast-growing company that helps businesses, investors, lenders, and consultants complete transactions as quickly as feasible, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The engineer must have some experience leading or managing a team of developers while working with operations to build and scale the back-end infrastructure. The US-based company is rapidly becoming a household name in the banking industry with its efficient and modern solutions. They have securely raised $5.5mn+ in funding during their Series A round of funding. This will be a full-time position and a nice opportunity for developers to join a growing, entrepreneurial environment in an established company.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Build quality products, systems, and experiences
  • Contribute to strategic decisions and translate complex problems, customer needs, and business objectives into actionable development goals
  • Take full ownership of development projects from concept to deployment and maintenance
  • Collaborate with the team to define feature specifications and bring ideas to life
  • Mentor developers and distill expertise and best practices to the team
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced, self-directed environment

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  •  Excellent understanding of object-oriented programming principles
  • Expertise with Ruby on Rails or another modern web application framework
  • Knowledge of Git or similar version control systems
  • Knowledge of Angular, PHP, Java, React, API integration, and unit testing
  • Experience with relational databases and SQL, preferably MySQL
  • Ability to work both independently and collaborate with others
  • High sense of urgency and ownership for products
  • Detail-oriented practices with pragmatic views towards shipping ​
  • Solid understanding of CS fundamentals
  • Ability to give and receive direct feedback in a professional manner
  • Familiarity with Elastic Search, HAProxy, Nginx, RabbitMQ, Redis, or Memcached is desirable
  • Experience with JavaScript and related libraries like jQuery and Backbone.js is preferred
  • Experience architecting, developing, and maintaining full-stack web projects
  • In-depth knowledge and experience working with HTML and S/CSS is nice to have
  • Prior experience working at a SaaS company is preferred
