Senior Software Engineer

A fast-growing company providing progressive organizations with transformative insight to create resonating breakthrough messaging is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The ideal candidate should enjoy working on a new codebase, including the excitement and challenge of making engineering decisions that will have a long-lasting impact on the technology and company. The company is growing fast and has gained the backing of leading investors, including Higher Ground Labs, Luminate, etc. The selected candidate will be building and supporting tools that enable internal users to understand large amounts of text data and develop products that clients interact with directly.

Job Responsibilities:

• Build software, write codes, and help set the technical direction on a range of products and features
• Work closely with other engineers, product managers, and designers
• Mentor other engineers with less experience, including pairing with them, modeling good practices, and providing kind feedback
• Take full ownership of tasks and do whatever it takes to complete them with the support of the team
• Write back-end code to handle complex business logic
• Help make the world a better place by helping organizations and leaders understand and engage people
• Work with empathy while interacting with members of the team and users
• Work with talented designers and product managers to ensure delightful products 

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience
• Strong full-stack development skills from front-end to back-end to DevOps
• Fluent communicator capable of conveying technical information to non-technical people efficiently
• Experience working with modern web development frameworks
• Enjoy taking complex technical problems and breaking them down by writing technical specs
• Proficient with React, Django, and AWS, familiarity with these tools is a plus
• Experience building robust software and mentoring other engineers
• Proven track record of bringing complex engineering problems to resolution
• Experience as a tech lead on a project, working with design and product to scope requirements and build features
• Excited about improving both engineering and company culture by consistently engaging with people and processes
• Comfortable writing front-end code to match high fidelity mocks
• Excel at giving and receiving feedback with kindness, curiosity, and an open-mind
• Prior working experience at a startup is a plus
