Job description

A US-based car-leasing company transforming the digital car-shopping experience is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The selected candidate will report to a Staff Engineer and help build an outstanding automotive FinTech platform. The company is developing the next-generation FinTech technologies that change how millions of users access mobility. It has raised more than $2bn in funding so far. This role requires 2+ hours overlap with the PST time zone.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the company’s website, dealer app, and internal tools
  • Build scalable and flexible online experiences that will power the platform's future
  • Plan new features and upgrades with back-end developers, designers, and product teams
  • Perform code reviews and give constructive feedback
  • Mentor, guide, and help other engineers 
  • Provide accurate project complexity and delivery time estimates
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to complete projects

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Extensive experience developing modern interactive web experiences with React, HTML5, and CSS3
  • Prior experience with state management libraries like Redux and Mobx
  • Experience defining API interfaces in JSON or GRPC
  • Working experience with version control through GitHub
  • Comfortable working in a design-centric environment informed by user experience research and a/b testing
