Job description

A well-established global OTT platform that has fast become a household name in the entertainment industry is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The engineer will be tasked with improving, reworking, and reimagining the company's mobile application to deliver a seamless system and interactive UI. The company enables users to access a wide range of entertainment options spanning 15+ languages. The company has managed to secure $200mn+ in funding so far. This is a rare opportunity for developers to work with a fast-growing company providing their services to more than 300mn users across the globe. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement features for the company’s iOS application
  • Implement various features and improve the stability of the application
  • Define the future architecture of the platform
  • Deliver critical business modules while developing optimized and modular code
  • Take ownership of end-to-end product quality
  • Develop and maintain core app frameworks that help make the apps more reliable and delightful
  • Join and lead the team to plan and build prototypes of new ideas 
  • Explore new technologies at the forefront of mobile technology
  • Provide technical and product expertise, mentor and guide developers

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer 
  • Extensive experience and a good understanding of the iOS platform
  • Demonstrable experience working with UIKit, Core Animation, Auto Layout, and Cocoa Touch
  • Excellent Swift and Objective-C coding ability 
  • Solid grasp of CS and OS fundamentals
  • Ability to break down complex problems into simple, innovative solutions that serve business need
  • Knack for problem-solving and ability to work in ambiguity
  • Must be technical and product-aware
  • Nice to have some TvOS experience
