An industry-leading OTT video-streaming platform actively used by millions of users is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. As a member of the engineering team, you will build systems, test infrastructures, and tools to help improve the engineering velocity and product excellence. The company has established a renowned brand, offering its services in several countries and languages, and has raised over $200 mn in funding. This will be an excellent opportunity for the selected candidate to join highly skilled professionals and solve a broad range of core software development problems.

Job Responsibilities:

Eliminate core bottlenecks in software development processes like deployment pipelines, performance & reliability testing
Make decisions with a data-driven approach with a firm belief in applying creative technical solutions towards making systems more efficient and effective
Develop tools that help make processes easier and bring delight to endeavors, e.g., command line tools, user interfaces, web services, debugging, etc.
Perform automations with an unwavering passion and focus on polished products, engineering excellence, and productivity
Analyze, design, implement, and improve tools, frameworks, metrics, and processes
Work, collaborate, and lead teams cross-functionally

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 6-10 years of relevant experience as a software, QA, or DevOps engineer
Experience in developing solutions for the development or testing of front-end applications, API, and performance engineering
Solid expertise in CI-CD tools like Jenkins, GoCD, Kubernetes, EC2, and Terraform
Hands-on programming experience in major programming and scripting languages
Proficiency in major DBs, Caches, and Queuing systems
Experience in designing, developing, debugging, and executing automation scripts
Demonstrated experience in Linux/Unix commands is a plus
Competent in analyzing server logs and metrics
Sound knowledge of functional and non-functional aspects of the system
Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
Strong entrepreneurial spirit and capable of getting things done with a high level of quality
Passionate about working in an unstructured, fast-moving startup environment
