Job description

A U.S.-based company that is helping users across the world to empower people and bring about the change they want to see in society, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The engineer will be in charge of writing clear and easy-to-understand code with documentation. The company is on a mission to leverage the power of technology to build a better world. The company has managed to securely raise more than $70mn during their Series D round of funding. This position requires 4+ hours of overlap with the PST time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Augment the existing engineering team to increase the velocity of product development
  • Communicate effort, progress, and results with the leadership and respective stakeholders
  • Adapt to the company's existing engineering processes as appropriate 
  • Optimize application for performance and scale

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Prolific experience working with React, TypeScript, and GraphQL
  • Strong knowledge of Ruby, Elixir, and Ruby on Rails is preferred
  • Fluent in conversational and written English
