Senior React Engineer

A U.S.-based company that is building a platform for close interaction to assist developers in the creation of APIs, is looking for a skilled Senior React Engineer to join their team. The engineer will play a pivotal role in defining and polishing the tech stack, leveraging open-source tools, generalizing product-specific code, and developing creative solutions to address various challenges encountered by the team. The company provides integration with version control systems, continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, and popular API management platforms. Having successfully secured more than $430m in funding so far, the company is poised for further growth and innovation. This position requires 4+ hours of overlap with the GMT+5 time zone.

Job Responsibilities:

• Externalize strings in our core app, refactoring components that are too complex for string extraction, and generally getting our codebase ready for translation
• Organize the use of existing infrastructure or contribute to the creation of new infrastructure to enhance product quality and engineering efficiency
• Collaborate closely with Engineering Leaders, Product Managers, and other stakeholders to deliver services and tools that significantly enhance developer productivity and overall quality and performance across the tech stack
• Provide technical direction for the overall architecture and design, actively mentoring team members through extensive code reviews and paired programming
• Manage requests from various squads and facilitate communication with the broader organization
• Though no active development of new features or improvements is required, occasional support to various squads in release activities is expected
• Handle simple development tasks, such as branch merges in a sizable Git repository, local project building with NodeJS or JavaScript, and debugging Circle CI automation

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a React Engineer
• Knowledge about Linux/MacOS/GitHub-based development flow is a must
• Expertise with TPM
• Experience with i18next will be seen as a big plus
• Previous experience with the Postman codebase is desirable
• Experience coordinating cross-functional initiatives and guaranteeing their effective communication in order to to identify tooling requirements, automation gaps, and labor-saving development practices
• Prior experience making and promoting your own open-source tools will be seen as a plus
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
