Job description

A U.S.-based company that is revolutionizing the biotech industry by developing next-gen microfluidic technology is looking for a Senior React Developer. The developer will be responsible for understanding business requirements and translating them into technical requirements. The company's world-class synthetic biology solutions enable researchers to accurately, reliably and rapidly synthesize DNA at a scale. This position requires 4-5+ hours of overlap with the PST time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the back-end and core team to build web apps by integrating the APIs
  • Collaborate with UI/UX team to design and create web applications
  • Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
  • Convert wireframes and drawings into high-quality code
  • Enhance the components' performance to the fullest extent possible across a wide range of web-capable devices and browsers
  • Create responsive, performance-optimized, and mobile web applications

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 8+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack or front-end developer
  • Demonstrable experience working with React, RESTful APIs, and AWS/Azure Cloud
  • Strong experience in building enterprise-grade web applications with heavy integrations with other interfaces (internal and public systems)
  • Prolific experience in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
  • Solid experience with code versioning tools
  • Prolific experience with popular React.js workflows like Flux or Redux and its core principles
  • Solid understanding of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token, AWS Cognito, etc.
  • Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
  • Demonstrable knowledge of common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
  • Strong understanding of benchmarking and optimization
  • Prior experience working in a startup or SMB environment
  • Familiarity with Agile working environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Fluent in English
