Senior Java Engineer

A US-based healthcare-focused company using the potential of blockchain to create a worldwide network that links businesses and people is looking for a Senior Java Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for producing and implementing functional software solutions. The company's AI-enabled technology is revolutionizing how sensitive data is collected, managed, and controlled. During their Series A round, the company has managed to raise more than $5.6mn in funding.   

Job Responsibilities:

• Build and deliver high-quality front-end for the application
• Develop features, components, and tools using clean and efficient codes 
• Automate key processes using essential tools and scripting 
• Conduct scheduled code reviews and debug identified problems 
• Assist in performing validation and verification testing 
• Build solutions that offer high and efficient performance on both mobile and desktop platforms
• Develop tested, idiomatic, and documented JavaScript, HTML, and CSS codes
• Optimize workflow between the graphic designer, the HTML coder, and yourself
• Work alongside back-end developers to build RESTful APIs Help to work with external web services

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 6+ years of relevant experience as a software developer
• Should possess a deep understanding of React.js along with core principles (React Hooks and state management) 
• Must have expertise in working with JavaScript/ES6
• Must be well-versed in primary web technologies like HTTP, REST, and JSON
• Ability to work with front-end development tools like Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
• Proven experience working with RESTful APIs
• Prior experience in utilizing version control systems like Git
• Deep CSS development skills with the ability to build responsive applications supporting various browsers and devices using modern CSS3 techniques
• Must work with a professional mindset and excellent communication skills
• Must be able to build self-contained, reusable, and testable modules/components
• Implement a clear dependency chain based on app logic as well as the file system
• Well-versed with responsibilities of the platform, database, API, caching layer, proxies, and other web services used in the system
• Must possess the expertise in validating user actions on the client side and providing quick feedback
• Ability to write non-blocking code and resort to advanced techniques such as multi-threading whenever required
• Knowledge of developing infrastructure for serving front-end apps and assets
• Must be able to build and automate development processes for production utilizing task runners or scripts
• Ability to document code inline using JSDoc or other conventions
• Capability of writing extensive unit tests using automated TDD tasks
• Must be able to create e2e test suites for all components and run them with Protractor or similar solutions
• Should possess the ability to configure, build, and test scripts for continuous integration environments
• Must work with an analytical mindset with problem-solving aptitude
• Should be able to contribute independently and possess excellent organizational skills
• Familiarity with the healthcare industry is preferred Healthcare background is preferred
• Excellent English communication skills
