Job description

A fast-growing company developing an efficient platform that provides users with quick, free, and 24-hour delivery services is looking for a Senior Golang Engineer. The selected candidate will be working closely with the designers, product, and engineering teams to design and develop a world-class user experience. The online retail platform is providing customers with the delivery of daily essentials and groceries within 15 minutes. This is a nice opportunity for developers who enjoy working on complex issues while honing their skills. This will be a full-time position.

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build high-performance, reliable codes to deliver products in around the clock
  • Own end-to-end development processes including tasks like designing, implementing, automated testing,
  • monitoring, maintenance
  • Take responsibility for the code you own and keep scaling codebases using your expertise
  • Work alongside engineers, designers, and product managers to develop excellent products and delight customers
  • Assist in conducting peer code reviews to ensure delivery of secure quality software

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a Golang developer
  • Must possess expertise in working with Go with experience of working with other languages (Java or similar)
  • Should possess a strong understanding of system and software design
  • Must be able to write high-quality, performant, and maintainable codes
  • Understanding of cloud infrastructures like AWS and GCP
  • Ability to work with version control systems like Git
  • Knowledge of utilizing production monitoring and logging tools (Datadog or similar) is required
  • Must be proficient in Linux
  • Previous remote working experience will be helpful
  • Knowledge of agile software development practices like trunk-based development, feature toggle, rituals, and more is preferred
  • Ability to work with automation pipeline tools (Gitlab CI, Jenkins, or similar)
  • Experience in using configuration management tools like Ansible, Terraform, or similar
  • Deep understanding of full-stack development covering all components of products is preferred
  • Experience in working with containerization technologies like Kubernetes in production will be helpful
  • Ability to quickly deal and mitigate production issues, run post-mortem, and discovering the root causes is preferred
