Job description

A fast-emerging company on a mission to enhance the weight-loss journey of its app users by providing customized solutions is looking for a React Native Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for making as many reusable and efficient front-end modules as possible. Job Responsibilities:

  • Using the React ecosystem, design and implement user interface components for JavaScript-based web and mobile applications
  • Work in a small team with other react native developers, designers, QA experts, and managers
  • Create app and UI components from wireframes and prototypes
  • Work with native modules as needed
  • Use Native APIs for tight integrations with both Android and iOS platforms
  • Create automated tests to ensure clean code and performance
  • Eliminate performance bottlenecks to improve front-end performance
  • Create front-end modules that are as reusable and efficient as possible
  • To provide an excellent user interface, use clean, smooth animations
  • Utilize third-party dependencies and APIs
  • Use Redux architecture to improve the performance of websites and mobile apps
  • Coordination with cross-functional teams to build apps within the time/budget constraints

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a mobile developer
  • Experience working with React web and mobile along with tools like Flux, Flow, Redux, etc
  • In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, functional programming, and front-end languages
  • Knowledge of React fundamentals such as Virtual DOM, component lifecycle, and component state
  • Deep understanding of the full mobile app development lifecycle right from prototyping
  • Knowledge of type checking, unit testing, typescript, prop types, and code debugging
  • Experience working with REST APIs, document request models, offline storage, and third-party libraries
  • Familiarity with web technologies like JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Knowledge of user interface design and responsive designs
  • Strong knowledge of software development approaches, principles, and flows
  • Experience working on large, complex web and mobile apps
  • A positive mindset and continuous-learning attitude
  • Stay updated with new updates, technologies, and news about React Native
  • Knowledge of Storybook is nice to have
  • Ability to solve issues and contribute to libraries as and when needed
  • Experience working in an agile development environment
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills 
  • Familiarity with modern front-end tools and build pipelines
  • A collaborative approach to building apps and solving complex problems
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Client-focused approach with a goal of creating user-centric designs
  • Good interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Ability to write clean, well-documented code that follows good coding practices
