Job description

A rapidly-growing company that is developing a ground-breaking fitness application that combines a workout tracker with a social community component, is looking for a React Native Engineer. The engineer will be working collaboratively with product and design teams to flesh out requirements. The company has created an app with a built-in workout generator that will produce a custom workout based on the user's metrics, such as level of competence, time allotted for workout, etc. This position requires some overlap with the CST time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Help the team to refix existing items, bug fixes, and build new features
  • Give technical leadership to the team and discuss problems with cross-functional teams to ensure timely, efficient, and high-quality software delivery into production, both individually and collectively
  • Maintain code quality, performance, and architecture in accordance with the team's goals
  • For speed and performance bottlenecks, optimize and maintain the platform

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Prolific experience working with React Native and Django
  • Some familiarity with Heroku and GCP is nice to have
  • Fluent in spoken and written English communication
