Job description

A rapidly-growing company that is developing a mobile commerce app that makes buying, sharing, and creating easy, frictionless, and enjoyable, is looking for a React Native Developer. The developer will be responsible for managing and monitoring cloud resources, creating and implementing infrastructure as code, and setting up and configuring AWS environments. The company is developing a culture in which users are paid for talking about the brands and products they are passionate about with their peers, kin, and followers. This position requires a significant overlap with the EST/PST time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Generate new software capabilities and features
  • Manage and configure the CI/CD pipeline, and initiate builds through the automated deployment processes using continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
  • Analyze Jira issues and make sure that tasks are assigned to the right developers
  • Inform the engineering leadership on a frequent basis about the problems, hazards, and status of the project
  • Keep tabs on the performance of the project's developers and other engineering resources and report it to the leadership
  • Perform thorough code reviews frequently to make sure that the code is of high quality and follows the rules
  • Identify and resolve conflicts, handle code dependencies, and ensure correct code branching and versioning while monitoring and maintaining the stability and integrity of branches in the Git repository
  • Manage the delivery of app builds and releases, plan the release procedure, oversee pre-release testing, and make sure the deployment goes smoothly
  • Take the initiative to lead the API documentation project, making sure that all APIs are well-maintained and fully documented, including specifications, usage guidelines, examples, and troubleshooting information
  • Monitor team members' activities and advise on technical approaches to achieve project goals
  • Ensure that coding practices and engineering standards are followed
  • Successfully manage project operations on a daily basis, distribute resources, and guarantee the timely completion of high-caliber work

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software developer
  • Extensive experience working with React Native, ReactJS, and Node.js
  • Strong understanding of coding standards, best practices, and common libraries and frameworks
  • Prior knowledge of using these technologies to design, develop, and test scalable, secure, and maintainable systems
  • Previous experience cooperating with a cross-functional, international team in an agile development environment
  • Experience with and knowledge of utilizing modern software development tools and methodologies
  • Solid understanding of and experience working with a variety of software development tools, such as but not limited to AWS, JIRA, GIT, and other widely used platforms and tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent leadership abilities and a track record of achievement in leading software
  • Fluent in spoken and written English communication
