Job description

One of the world’s best real-time development platforms is looking to hire a Lead Back-End Engineer. The engineer will help create a virtual 3D space for displaying and trading digital assets, including social functionality. The company has successfully built a team passionate about gaming and providing creators with the leading platform to bring their ideas to life. The candidate will gain the opportunity to join the team and help build the biggest platform to create and play quality games. This role requires a time overlap with the KST or Asia Pacific region.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Determine the scope of work for a chosen solution and estimate the effort 
  • Articulate the proposed solution to the development team to create the solution
  • Understand industry standards and best practices for both development practices, security, and data protection
  • Ensure that the development team constructs systems in accordance with standards and best practices
  • Basic understanding of how the DevOps and build/CI/CD teams collaborate with the development team to build and deploy back-end APIs, systems, and infrastructure to the cloud

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software developer
  • 10+ years of experience, with expertise shipping several production-quality cloud or back-end systems 
  • Ability to lead a team of developers
  • Knowledge of AWS
  • Ability to construct a cloud-based API and an understanding of how much load or scaling it can handle
  • Capable of collaborating with clients, stakeholders, and other development teams to create a coherent and integrated back-end solution
  • Capable of ensuring that all parties manage and understand the breadth
  • Capable of working in Java Spring Boot
  • Ability to listen and comprehend the challenges at hand, as well as evaluating potential solutions
  • Problem solver with originality who takes pride in their work
