Job description

A U.S.-based company that is on a mission to make hiring easier for home service business owners is looking for a Lead Back-End Engineer. The engineer will be working together with a cross-functional team to identify, design, and release new features with the product management and design teams. The company is offering clients unrestricted access to behavioral assessments that are supported by research. This is a great opportunity for candidates to prove their worth and work in a fast-paced environment while developing world-class products. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build top-notch software for intricate back-end systems and APIs
  • Develop, test, and apply improvements to products' performance
  • Participate proactively in discussions about architecture, design, and code reviews
  • Establish frameworks and best practices for coding, code reviews, etc., and mentor junior engineers

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
  • Extensive experience working with TypeScript, DevOps, and Node.js
  • Prolific experience working with AWS, System Design, and Database Schema Design
  • Demonstrable experience and knowledge of Clean Architecture, Network Protocols, and programming
  • Familiarity with Data Engineering is desirable
  • Excellent conversational and written English communication skills
