Job description

A U.S.-based company that is developing a data platform for integrated integrations as the basis for end-to-end sales tactics, is looking for a Lead Back-End Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for creating tools that help the business enhance its contact data over time. With the largest and most accurate B2B database available, the company's cutting-edge technology helps businesses identify and target their potential customers. The company has managed to secure more than $148mn during their Series C round of funding. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Recognize the Data Catalog stack and constantly enhance it
  • Analyze the company's massive dataset of individuals and organizations to produce insightful understandings of data quality/coverage concerns and suggest upcoming changes
  • Create effective algorithms that run over the current dataset to enhance the quality and coverage of the data
  • Establish procedures and controls to keep an eye on the quality of the data so that production data is always reliable and accessible
  • Collaborate with technical, product, and business owners to identify and define essential business questions and generate data sets that answer those questions
  • Develop a plan for a long-term data platform architecture by working closely with all business divisions and engineering teams
  • Build tasks to fill data models in the data warehouse using company data models

  • Act with the highest integrity and be organized, meticulous, and very detail-oriented

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
  • Prolific experience working with Data Engineering and Data Analytics
  • Extensive experience with Ruby on Rails
  • Nice to have some understanding of Python and Machine Learning
  • Requires critical thinking and established problem-solving abilities
  • Enjoy data analysis and producing new ideas, and have previously worked with production systems in the past
  • Excellent spoken and written English
