Job description

A fast-growing Fintech company is looking for a Junior Software Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for helping in ingesting and standardizing millions of data points and building a platform to process complex calculations to check suspicious behavior. The company is dedicated to providing efficient solutions to prevent illegal payments, money laundering, terrorist financing and other criminal activities that are hidden among billions of financial transactions. The developer will have the unique opportunity to contribute to be an early engineer and be involved in the technical and product decisions of the company. This role requires some time overlap with EST.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ingest, analyze and standardize millions of messy data points coming from the clients
  • Build the next generation compliance stack with the goal of detecting and exposing money laundering quickly and with fewer resources dedicated by the clients
  • Build and develop a scalable software that can run complex calculations on it and check for suspicious behavior
  • Work with the existing team of developers and contribute innovative solutions and ideas
  • Take ownership of your tasks and efficiently execute them

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of professional experience in a rigorous technical environment  
  • Prolific skills in low-latency languages like C++ 
  • Experience with containerization skills like Kubernetes/Docker
  • Proficiency in at least one statically typed language  
  • Must have experience with object oriented programming principles
  • Experience dealing with ambiguous and open-ended problems
