Junior C++ Back-End Engineer

A software development company operating as a market leader in media exploitation and digital forensic tools used for scanning computers, external drives, drive images, etc., is looking for a Junior C++ Back-End Engineer. The selected candidate will join the team and work in the challenging fields of digital forensics, cybersecurity, and tactical site exploitation. The company has developed software for processing and analyzing Android, iOS smartphones, and tablets, including Windows, Mac, Linux computers, and several other devices. This will be a full-time, long-term role requiring an overlap with the CET time zone.

Job Responsibilities:

• Write C++ modules to improve the core search engine
• Develop modules using C++ to access and collect data from multiple devices, including Android, iOS, macOS, and Windows
• Create business logic components while working with C++ that are part of the desktop application, remote agent, or web server
• Develop unit tests for each component as part of the CI platform
• Instrument code to achieve high runtime performance
• Perform adequate code validation

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 1+ years of relevant C++ back-end development experience
• 1+ years of experience working on Windows with MS Visual Studio (working with algorithmic, business logic, multithreading, file processing, search algorithms, and databases)
• Experience with unit tests
• Understanding of code instrumentation (xperf or others)
• Experience with Continuous Integration
• Knowledge of Scrum with good written and spoken English
• Expertise in C# and .NET Core is a plus
