Job description

A fast-growing company that is active in the healthcare payments industry and aims to transform millions of lives with their relevant solutions, is looking for a Junior Back-End Engineer. The selected candidate will be developing high-performing service integrations and overseeing scalable infrastructure. The US-based company is bridging the gap between affordable healthcare without burning a hole in people’s pockets. This is a great opportunity for developers who possess team orientation, a high-work ethic, and a passion for solving customer obstacles. This will be a long-term, full-time role that requires some overlap with the EST time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work on executing assigned tasks and building features applications under development
  • Collaborate with the product owner and technical teams to define product development strategies
  • Develop and integrate APIs
  • Take ownership of managing SQL databases
  • Build, test, and maintain complex business logic
  • Must work with a technical mindset with great attention to detail
  • Develop scalable features for backend utilizing the best security features 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
  • Must possess 2+ years of experience working with Python, SQL, and DevOps
  • Knowledge of cloud services like AWS or GCP is essential
  • Capable of utilizing languages like React / React Native is desirable
  • Nice to have some familiarity with Flask-RESTful and cloud security protocols
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English
