Job description

A U.S.-based company that aids automakers in making sure their vehicles can be updated continually while offering data-driven insights that enhance vehicle performance, safety, functionality, and reliability, is looking for a Cloud Security Engineer. The engineer will be tasked with implementing effective security protocols, data protection measures, and storage solutions. The company is transforming the automotive technology industry by creating a futuristic connected automobile ecosystem for the management of extensive amounts of automotive and IoT software, data, and diagnostics. The company has managed to successfully raise $82mn+ during their Series B round of funding. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in defining security roadmap for the products and deliver security product specs, including requirements, design, and test plans 
  • Support the Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA) for the Software/Cloud team
  • Deploy controls within CI/CD pipelines for SAST, DAST, and third-party library analysis
  • Perform, review and prioritize remediation in the Cloud environment, including infrastructure and third-party libraries
  • Analyze cybersecurity attack entry points and assess risk versus impact
  • Work with the software team to implement cybersecurity requirements and evaluate test and software analysis reports
  • Perform competitive analysis of security technologies in both the automotive and consumer electronics field

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Demonstrable experience designing secure networks, systems, and application architectures
  • Prior experience planning and developing security policies, procedures, and standards
  • Solid understanding of operating systems, networking technologies, and specific implementations, especially from a computer security perspective
  • Working knowledge of public key infrastructure (PKI) in medium to large environments to include key management, digital certificates, and digital signatures across server and device certificates
  • Experience managing encryption cipher suites and impacts of different certificate standards
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
