Job description

A high-growth SaaS company in the supply chain space that is revolutionizing the industry with their data analytics solutions is looking for a Cloud Engineer. The engineer will be tasked with architecting and building shared systems and services that the engineering team will use. The company helps businesses take control of their production processes by identifying gaps in real-time and streamlining the entire process. The company has secured more than $11 mn during their Series A round of funding. This will be a full-time role requiring 4+ hours overlap with the EST time zone.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Successfully collaborate with members of the team and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Lead and own important projects to improve the platform's infrastructure monitoring, stability, and security.
  • Carry out performance and scalability analysis on the systems and applications
  • Set and maintain high technical standards for the entire team
  • Assist in the routine maintenance and improvement of technical compliance commitments
  • Participate in the team's on-call rotation to achieve operational excellence
  • Take ownership of production issues from root cause analysis to resolution

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Proficient knowledge of Python, Firebase, Ruby, and Google Cloud Platform
  • Extensive experience leading Platform and DevOps projects while establishing and maintaining high technical standards across the team
  • Experience creating infrastructure or apps on top of major cloud providers 
  • Prior experience building data pipelines that span different systems
  • Experience with operations technology or supply chain management is nice to have
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
