Job description

One of the world’s high-growth advertising technology companies is looking to hire a Cloud Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for providing leverage to the engineering team to perform exceptional work. The company is well-recognized on major publishing platforms and has focused extensively on shaping the future of advertising. The selected candidate will work on managing the infrastructure, improving the deployment and release process, and consistently implementing new ways to improve the infrastructure. Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive for continuous learning opportunities to build upon craft
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to implement best practices for writing and scaling good code
  • Boost infrastructures and deployment processes
  • Build tools that scale productivity and enable self-service
  • Work actively with teams to optimize the application performance
  • Develop a unified system to monitor, log, and handle error 
  • Discover industry best practices and utilize them to push the team forward
  • Collaborate with teams to optimize and reduce cloud costs

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience in a professional, collaborative environment 
  • Solid coding skills in at least one programming language
  • Proficient in cloud complexities, best practices of application, data, and  cloud security
  • Expert skills in building scalable, reliable, and highly available secure infrastructure
  • Strong understanding of cloud networking and network architecture
  • Hands-on expertise in software provisioning, configuration management, and automation tools
  • Knowledge of container technologies and techniques, e.g. Docker 
  • Technical competency in taking ownership of projects and delivering core accomplishments
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Competency in working under pressure and multitasking in a fast-paced start-up environment
  • Desire to accept feedback and constructive criticism
  • Extremely strong and demonstrable work ethic
