Job description

A US-based company providing businesses with world-class cybersecurity solutions on their robust platform is looking for a C++ Software Engineer. The selected candidate will be in charge of resolving scalability-related problems while mentoring junior engineers. Businesses may get a comprehensive picture of their cybersecurity posture, as well as security scores from the company. The company has managed to raise more than $250 mn during their Series E round of funding. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform analysis, design, and troubleshoot the data distribution and processing architecture
  • Work as a key developer of the native processing pipeline
  • Assist the team in software system selection and configuration
  • Engage in clear articulated communication, consisting of drawings, presentations, and writeups with the engineering, operations, and product management staff 
  • Assist the HR team in mentoring junior and mid-career engineers

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Extensive experience in  JSON, XML, CSV, Protobuf, ORC, and Parquet
  • Demonstrable experience in REST API(s) and Kafka
  • Prolific experience in C++14, Python, and Scala
  • Prior experience in Spar /Databricks, ObjectiveFS, and Object Stores
  • Experience in Cloud Computing Containers and VMs
  • Prolific knowledge of C++ STL containers (vector, array, set)
  • Experience with large data volumes processing
  • Demonstrable Cybersecurity background and prior experience working with databases such as Postgres (and other SQL), Presto, Scylla, Hive, and Redis
  • Understanding of C++ templates and Lambda functions
  • Solid understanding of computational complexity and performance-optimized coding
  • Excellent English language proficiency, both oral and written
