Job description

A fast-paced company that bridges the pathology productivity gap with online pathology and artificial intelligence is looking for a C++ Developer. The selected candidate will be responsible for handling complex issues and communicating with the tech and non-tech departments. The company operates at the forefront of pathology service delivery, leveraging uniquely positioned solutions that address the most prominent problems facing pathology today. This is an excellent opportunity for those who would like to work in the healthtech sector and contribute to digital pathology-based solutions.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • For digital pathology applications, develop sophisticated picture format support for the platform 
  • Develop multi-threaded code that is cross-platform and optimized for high throughput
  • Creating and integrating third-party libraries
  • Collaborate on design reviews, merge requests, and code reviews with co-workers
  • Create unit and integration tests that are automated
  • Troubleshoot complicated problems and interact with both technical and non-technical parties
  • Collaborate with other teams and functions such as quality assurance, testing, and product development
  • Demonstrate work to internal teams and customers regularly
  • Finish all required company training as well as job-specific training, such as ISMS, GLP, DocuSign, and SDLC, if relevant

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Strong experience in C++ programming (preferably modern C++)
  • Imaging processing and development experience is a must
  • Knowledge of multi-threaded development 
  • Experience in Agile development as well as in the regulated industry is nice to have
  • Analytical with a strong desire to improve product and process excellence
  • Ability to work independently or as a member of a team
  • Experience with Tiff, JPEG, and DICOM is nice to have
  • Standards and best practices for code quality, performance, and testing is nice to have
  • CI/CD configuration using GitLab or similar is a plus
  • Automated testing skills are nice to have
  • Python scripting, BDD, and unit test frameworks are a plus
  • Experience with GLP regulations or software will be a huge plus
  • Problem solver and analytic thinker who is self-sufficient
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to operate alone or as part of a group
  • Proficiency in English
