Job description

A fintech company revolutionizing financial services, is looking for a Back-end Software Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for quickly building, monitoring, and maintaining back-end components. The early stage start-up is trying to reach the unbanked people across the globe in order to evaluate and provide them access to affordable credit. The company has managed to raise over $2mn+ in funding so far. This is an excellent opportunity for developers to work closely with industry experts who have previously worked with tech and financial giants like Google, and NASA among many others.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Building, monitoring, and maintaining back-end components. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve identified bugs
  • Monitor server and data engineering-related tasks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for mobile app development projects
  • Assist business partner technical teams to complete integrations and features
  • Provide back-end related assistance for privacy compliance efforts

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of experience as a back-end software engineer or related position
  • Prior experience in development, maintenance, and deployment of server application processes
  • Ability to work with a wide range of programming paradigms - functional programming and object-oriented programming
  • Proficient with Unix development environment
  • Ability to work efficiently on *nix systems
  • Should have experience in developing data pipelines
  • Familiarity with memory management concepts
  • Must be willing to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Past experience in versioning and change management with APIs
