Job description

One of the largest and highly advanced US-based digital staffing platforms is looking to hire a Back-end Engineer. The engineer will join the team and contribute to developing the core product and building out new features. The rapidly growing platform with thousands of verified quality workers links businesses to exceptional, pre-vetted staff. The company is backed by prominent venture investors, including an industry-leading jobs portal. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates to experience rapid career growth while expanding their skill sets. The role requires some overlap with the Central European Time.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and develop features of the existing APIs
  • Guarantee the best possible performance and quality of the software application
  • Design and develop technical and API documentation using recommended standards
  • Work on sprint-based tasks and develop the core product

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
  • Excellent knowledge of OOP concepts, design patterns, and RESTful APIs
  • Working experience with PHP 7+ (Laravel) and Relational Databases (PostgreSQL)
  • Proficiency with ORM, JSON, Git, and Testing
  • Nice to have some experience in Docker, caching and queues, code documentation, Swagger, JIRA, and AWS
  • Ability to quickly adopt new technologies and solve problems effectively
