Job description

A fast-emerging company active in the banking industry is looking for a Backend Developer. The developer will be responsible for building internal APIs and complex financial systems. The platform is built for small business owners, freelancers, entrepreneurs and enables simple business banking with no hidden fees. The ideal candidate is expected to be proficient in Go with an ability to think through scalability and architecture. This is a nice opportunity to develop innovative financial solutions and rise quickly through the ranks.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop an internal API that writes certain processes to a flag file
  • Think through scalability & architecture to optimize the product
  • Work with the engineering team to maintain code quality assurance and perform code reviews
  • Control technical debt through refactoring and new architectural designs
  • Promote team collaboration and engagement
  • Guiding the team through technical issues and challenges

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in software development
  • Must have prolific skills in Go and other back-end technologies
  • Nice to have some experience in Java, C++, and project management
  • Skilled at building complex financial systems
  • Fluent in English and interpersonal skills
