Job description

A U.S.-based company tech company that is bridging the gap between artistry, technology, and neuroscience, is looking to hire a Back-End Developer. The selected developer will manage the backend infrastructure to ensure seamless operations and optimal performance required by a world-class music/tech startup. This company uses science-backed music as a natural, efficient, and affordable way to help improve sleep, treat anxiety, and restore mental health. The company aims to develop the future of digital therapeutics and has successfully raised over $1 Million via private financing.

Job Responsibilities:

Optimize ML algorithms and API Development after analyzing Python/Django requirements
Implement code changes and oversee the execution of the deployment pipeline across development, staging, and production environments
Manage and optimize database records, including handling conditional audio queues
Evaluate Kubernetes Cluster Nodes to enhance traffic capacity
Engage in the Dockerization of Containers
Perform regular system checks for internal services and fix reported bugs
Test updates on servers and mobile devices (iOS/Android) and apply necessary modifications
Monitor admin logs, crash logs, API health logs, and container logs to detect any irregularities
Assess the operation limit and response time of all deployment servers
Ensure proper functioning of Load Balancers and appropriate traffic direction
Monitor shielded GKE nodes and implement enhancements as needed
Configure Database rules in accordance with tokenization standards (OAuth-JWT Tokens)
Refine IAM structure for improved access management
Set threshold limits for API requests to prevent potential threats and detect possible leaks
Conduct stress testing on all APIs to assess and optimize response times
Optimize database queries and implement indexing to enhance efficiency
Address data overflow concerns in the database and implement data separation when necessary.
Attend team meetings and collaborate with others to streamline team operations

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a Backend Developer
Expertise in Django, Python, and ML algorithms
Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes
Previous experience working with and implementing APIs
Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
Good English communication skills
