Backend Developer

A U.S.-based company that is making infrastructure inspections more efficient and less time-consuming through the power of AI, is looking for a Back-End Developer. Once selected, the candidate will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and implementing solutions to streamline the back-end processes of the company platform. The company uses PowerAI and predictive analytics to inspect utilities and safeguard energy infrastructure, thus accelerating the total time-to-maintenance and reducing the risks of infrastructure failure. This company has raised over 4 Mn through venture capital and requires a developer who can provide a 4-hour overlap with the PST time zone. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Write clean and efficient code that can be reused by others on the team
• Develop and oversee the upkeep of back-end services and databases
• Collaborate with front-end developers and other teams to ensure platform responsiveness
• Participate in each stage of the software development life cycle, including concept, design, testing, release, and support
• Stay updated with changing trends and implement new technology to streamline engineering processes

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a Back-End Developer
• Comprehensive knowledge of and familiarity with Python
• Hands-on experience with GCP or AWS cloud services is a must
• Expertise with SQL and NoSQL databases, preferably PostgreSQL
• Previous experience with Docker and Kubernetes would be a plus
• Working knowledge of the NVIDIA Metropolis development framework would be appreciated
• Good English communication skills
