Job description

An industry-leading, NASDAQ-listed cryptocurrency platform providing various services to users including online trading, investing, and monitoring services is looking for a Back-end Developer. The company is backed by some top investors and valued at over $500mn. The selected candidate will work on building the next generation of crypto-forward products and features. The developer will operate real-time applications with high-frequency, low latency updates and manage the most secure dockerized infrastructure running in the cloud. This is a great opportunity for a long-term engagement with a leading cryptocurrency trading company. The job requires a minimum of 6 hours time-overlap with PST.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build new services to meet critical product and business needs using Golang
  • Design scalable systems to solve novel problems with modern cloud technology and industry best practices
  • Articulate a long term vision for maintaining and scaling our backend systems and the teams running them
  • Work with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to turn our product and technical vision into a tangible roadmap every quarter
  • Write high quality, well-tested code to meet the needs of your customers

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science(or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of Golang experience
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering
  • Prior experience designing, building, scaling and maintaining production services, and know-how to compose a service-oriented architecture
  • Must have a passion for building an open financial system that brings the world together
  • Nice to have a working knowledge of Ruby, Docker, Rails, PostgreSQL, MongoDB
  • Any payments, credit risk, or financial regulatory experience will be nice to have
  • Any previous experience of having gone through rapid growth in your company (from startup to mid-size) is nice to have
  • Experience with growth experiments or A/B testing frameworks will be preferred
  • Prior experience with Blockchain technology (such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.) is nice to have
