Job description

A NASDAQ-listed cryptocurrency platform providing online trading, investing, and monitoring services to users is looking for a Back-end Developer. The company is backed by some top investors and valued at over $500mn. The selected candidate will get the opportunity to build the next generation of crypto-forward products and features. The developer will operate real-time applications with high-frequency, low latency updates and manage the most secure infrastructure running in the cloud. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a long-term engagement with a leading cryptocurrency trading company. The job requires 4+ hours of PST time overlap, and candidates from LATAM and North America will be preferred.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Build new services to meet critical product, and business needs using Golang
  • Develop scalable systems to solve complex problems associated with modern cloud technology 
  • Build a long term vision for maintaining and scaling our backend systems and the teams
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership on roadmaps to turn ideas into products
  • Write high quality, well-tested code to meet the needs of customers

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering
  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining production services
  • Knowledge of composing a service-oriented architecture
  • Ability to write high quality, well-tested code to meet customers needs
  • Passionate about building an open financial system 
  • Proficiency with Golang, Ruby, Docker, Rails, Postgres, MongoDB or DynamoDB
  • Experience with growth experiments or A/B testing frameworks is nice to have 
  • Experience with Blockchain technology (such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.)
  • Experience decomposing a large monolith into microservices
  • Experience working with financial, high reliability, or security systems
