Job description

A U.S.-based company creating a flourishing industry that offers consumers a variety of affordable items internationally is looking for a Back-End Software Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for adding and making available extra payment options that will boost the checkout conversion. The company is revolutionizing how clients shop on their mobile devices by providing a personalized and enjoyable experience. The company has managed to raise more than $1.5bn in funding. This is an excellent chance for candidates to combine solid engineering and product skills and thrive in a fast-paced, iterative, and collaborative environment.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the strategy for global payments
  • Play a vital part in creating and maintaining the payments platform, which processes billions of dollars annually
  • Incorporate new payment methods into the payment platform and oversee all technical elements of interactions with payment suppliers
  • Introduce and provide additional payment features that will increase checkout conversion
  • Create monitoring and reporting systems to guarantee the reliability and security of the payment system

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4+ years of industry experience building data-driven systems
  • 4+ years of experience with Python
  • Nice to have some experience with React
  • Experience with MongoDB and AWS
  • Experience with A/B testing and ETL process is nice to have
  • Experience integrating with payment service providers like Stripe and Adyen
  • Proficiency in English
