Job description

A Silicon Valley-backed technology company transforming the observability market is looking to hire a Back-End Software Engineer. The engineer will join the team to help build highly performant distributed systems, query engines, and storage systems from scratch. The company is set to utilize and derive insights from large volumes of observability data with the least infrastructure footprint. It has gained the support of top-tier institutional investors and high-profile angels. This will be a full-time opportunity to join a high-growth company at an early stage with the flexibility to be exposed to different functions within the organization.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with a high-ownership and low-overhead approach
  • Propose, build, launch, and iterate on cutting-edge solutions to tough problems
  • Develop sustainable web applications with clean codes
  • Craft code that meets the internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices for a high-scale environment

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 2+ years of relevant experience with any of: Go, Python, or Java
  • Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Kafka, Splunk, and Distributed Systems
  • Familiarity with OpenTSDB, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Grafana
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm, and Terraform
  • Familiarity with Databases, SQL, and NoSQL technologies
  • Proficiency in test-driven development
  • Expertise in systems programming, strong algorithms, and data structures fundamentals
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
