Job description

A fast-growing company operating as the world’s leading collaboration platform for API development is looking for a Back-End Software Engineer. The selected candidate will handle the roadmap and SLAs for the microservices and collaborate with several cross-functional teams. The company aims to simplify every step of the API building process and make the collaborations as swift as possible. They have successfully raised over $5bn in the Series-D funding. This will be an exciting opportunity to work on ground-breaking technologies that impact millions of users.

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create, build, and own microservices while collaborating with cross-functional teams of Product Managers, Designers, Platform Engineers, and others
  • Take charge of the roadmap and SLAs for the microservices that you own
  • Perform code reviews and advocate for better software engineering practices by mentoring and encouraging others to create a high-quality product
  • Design and build additional internal tooling required to ease product development and maintenance

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • 3 years of experience developing complex, distributed software applications at scale is required
  • Expertise with Node.js and Python is required 
  • Expertise with Ruby and Go is nice to have
  • A strong understanding of web fundamentals is required
  • Strong knowledge of database fundamentals, especially on performance aspects such as optimizing queries, schema design, indexing, caching
  • Experience with cloud computing and distributed systems 
  • Previous experience with Search systems and ETL pipelines is nice to have
  • Experience working with ranking, recommendation, analytics systems is preferred 
  • Familiarity working with NLP, ML algorithms, models, and systems is preferred
