Job description

A rapidly-growing company that is revolutionizing the banking industry with innovative solutions that provide users with access to fully free digital bank account, is looking for Back-End Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for the entire software development life cycle, from the idea phase down to production. The company is providing personalized mobile-first, AI-based digital retail banking services to help users track their expenses. They have managed to raise $150mn+ in funding so far. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build and deliver high-quality front-ends for application
  • Develop features, components, and tools using clean and efficient codes 
  • Automate key processes using essential tools and scripting 
  • Conduct scheduled code reviews and debug identified problems 
  • Assist in performing validation and verification testing 
  • Build solutions that offer high and efficient performance on both mobile and desktop platforms
  • Develop tested, idiomatic, and documented JavaScript, HTML, and CSS codes
  • Optimize workflow between the graphic designer, the HTML coder, and yourself
  • Work alongside back-end developers to build RESTful APIs 
  • Help to work with external web services

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end software engineer
  • Proven experience in building back-end microservices
  • Should possess knowledge of coding on JVM stack using Java or Kotlin
  • Proven experience of working on System Design
  • Must be able to write secure, testable, and maintainable codes with minimal errors
  • Should be able to convert the design into code and deliver it using software engineering best practices
  • Must be able to choose the right algorithm, data structure, and design pattern for problem statements
  • Must possess an understanding of maintenance characteristics, runtime properties, and dependencies of software 
  • Familiarity working with CI/CD stacks like GoCD, Spinnaker, etc
  • Should be able to identify errors by reviewing code, log files, metrics, and other common troubleshooting techniques.
  • Proven experience of working with public cloud services such as AWS
  • Well-versed with Kubernetes ecosystem and monitoring stacks like Prometheus, Grafana, and alerting systems will be helpful
