Job description

A fast-growing digital retail banking services provider that helps users keep track of their expenses is looking for a Back-End Software Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for writing secure, testable, maintainable code with minimal defects. The company aims to redefine the banking experiences with its personalized mobile-first, AI-based technological approach. Job Responsibilities:

Examine code faults, log files, metrics, and other typical troubleshooting approaches to find software flaws
Contribute towards building a user-facing platform
Understand and follow standardized software engineering processes
Design, develop, document, review, test, analyze, and release code
Document plans and features for other members of the team

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
1-2+ years experience building back-end microservices
Extensive experience coding on the JVM stack using either Java or Kotlin
Ability to transform an idea into code and deliver it utilizing best practices in software engineering
Ability to select the most appropriate algorithm, data structure, and design pattern for a particular issue statement
Understanding of software maintenance features, runtime properties, and dependencies Knowledge of CI/CD stacks such as GoCD and Spinnaker
Experience working in a public cloud, like AWS
Familiarity with the Kubernetes ecosystem and monitoring stacks like Prometheus, Grafana, and alerting systems is nice to have
