Job description

A rapidly-growing company that has built a digital banking application to help users track their expenses is looking for a Back-End Software Engineer. The engineer will be joining a team of talented experts and help convert a design into code and deliver it using software engineering best practices. The fast-paced tech firm is developing a customized mobile-first, AI-powered digital bank that will make banking more accessible and transparent for customers. The company has raised more than $150mn in funding so far. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates to collaborate on innovative software products and climb up the professional ladder.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Write secure, testable, maintainable code with minimal defects
  • Choose the suitable algorithm, data structure, and design pattern for the given problem statement
  • Understand the maintenance characteristics, runtime properties, and dependencies of software
  • Identify software defects by reviewing code errors, log files, metrics, and other common troubleshooting techniques

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a back-end developer
  • At least 1-2+ years of experience building back-end microservices
  • Prior experience coding on the JVM stack using either Java or Kotlin
  • Experience with CI/CD stacks like GoCD and Spinnaker
  • Experience working in public cloud such as AWS
  • Familiarity with the Kubernetes ecosystem and monitoring stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, and alerting systems is nice to have
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Fluent in conversational and non-verbal English communication
