Job description

A high-growth company building a specialized modern mobile-first, AI-based digital bank is looking to hire a Back-End Software Engineer. As an engineer, you will own and work end-to-end on a product/platform component alongside other functional teams. The company is building products across multi-business lines such as banking, payments, investments, and lending. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to learn and contribute cutting-edge tech in developing several products across the portfolio while working in a fast-paced tech startup that relentlessly innovates to make banking efficient for customers.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate in algorithm development, implementation, profiling, and optimization of the back-end components and services
  • Ensure compliance with the build and configuration management process
  • Create and execute appropriate quality plans, project plans, test strategies, and processes for development activities 
  • Come up with High-Level and Low-Level Designs (HLD & LLDs) from user requirements
  • Write secure, testable, maintainable code with minimal defects
  • Identify software defects by reviewing code errors, log files, metrics, and other common troubleshooting techniques

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 1-2+ years of relevant experience building back-end microservices
  • Expertise with coding on the JVM stack using either Java or Kotlin
  • Ability to convert a design into code and deliver it using software engineering best practices
  • Technical expertise in choosing the right algorithm, data structure, and design pattern for any given problem statement
  • Proficient understanding of maintenance characteristics, runtime properties, and dependencies of software 
  • Experience with CI/CD stacks such as GoCD and Spinnaker
  • Experience working in a public cloud such as AWS 
  • Familiarity with the Kubernetes ecosystem and monitoring stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, and alerting systems are big pluses to have
