Job description

A US-based tech company revamping agriculture and industrial automation services with advanced AIoT is looking for a Back-End Software Engineer. The engineer must possess strong ownership and engineering leadership aspirations to support the R&D team. The company is on a mission to change the industrial automation industry, applying cutting-edge research in AI, IoT, and hybrid cloud+edge computing. This is an excellent opportunity to work with world experts in machine learning and software engineering.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver consistently the development of robust and scalable infrastructure in the back-end
  • Have a clear vision of the company’s product portfolio, why they exist, and how they work together
  • Have good judgments on priorities based on customer needs, and align them together
  • Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure the project meets business objectives and compliance standards
  • Write clean, high-quality, high-performance, and maintainable code using Python
  • Tackle software components, including back-end and new features
  • Support test and deployment of new products and features
  • Review code to hold the code standard to the highest level

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end developer
  • Extensive experience working with Python
  • Familiarity with machine learning and related technologies is nice to have
  • Must be technically competent and seek to be respected by existing engineers
  • Demonstration of ownership and bias for actions
  • Ability to fit and embrace the core principles
  • Ability to quickly learn and acquire new knowledge in both engineering and management areas
