Job description

A US-based tech company dedicated to building efficient financial services is looking for a Back-End Software Engineer. The engineer will be optimizing the platform for faster execution and solving scalability issues. The startup company is building a digital service featuring a credit card that combines multiple features into a single all-purpose primary account. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates who enjoy working in ambiguous environments with little to no supervision.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build new consumer-facing banking experiences that are simple and beautiful  
  • Design, develop, test, and scale RESTful microservices running on AWS that power the platform 
  • Provide creative technical solutions that have a positive impact on products and customers
  • Work in a cross-functional agile team to test, profile, and code review software
  • Foster and thrive in a growth mindset culture

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
  • Extensive skills with Java, API, and Microservices
  • Fluency in English communication
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work with minimal hand-holding
