Job description

A US-based fast-growing company that is transforming the financial industry with their novel approach from traditional to digital, is looking for a Back-End Java Developer. The selected candidate will be expected to take leadership and make a lot of important decisions. The company is building a unique platform that is transforming the financial industry and how leading international banks, wealth managers, and asset managers conduct business. They have successfully managed to get over 500 direct clients and more than $5 trillion of assets in just a matter of a decade. This position requires 3-4+ hours of overlap with the PST time zone.

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive and deliver the next-generation features and functions to expand the product offering
  • Find ways to use new technologies to improve the platform's scalability and performance
  • Recognize opportunities to broaden the product portfolio in order to capitalize on new market opportunities
  • Create and design new product features
  • Make informed decisions, and be at ease with celebrating your victories and learning from your setbacks

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a backend developer
  • Must have experience in Java
  • Must have an understanding of Object-Oriented Concepts
  • Must have an interest in investment management
  • Expertise in writing multi-threaded apps is a must
  • Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database architectures is nice to have
  • Expertise with Git is nice to have
  • Knowledge of debugging and troubleshooting skills is required
  • Expertise with Docker, Groovy, and Kubernetes is nice to have
  • Nice to have experience in EJB and various application servers (Glassfish or similar)
